Our responsibility is more than just making quality products. It’s about preserving craftsmanship, caring for the environment, and giving back to our community. We turn our responsibility into action through the following efforts:
01. Sustainable Materials & Production
We reduce plastic waste by promoting reusable cutlery instead of disposables and offering free RiceResin cases made from inedible rice for easy carrying. Our packaging uses biomass materials to lower carbon emissions. We also upcycle unused metal into accessories and decor, fostering sustainability through innovation.
02. Enhancing Usability and Longevity
We host free events where participants experience our ergonomic, durable cutlery and learn how to identify high-quality pieces. Designed for longevity, our products are meant to be cared for, not discarded. To support this, we offer free maintenance services to extend their lifespan.
03. Preserving Tradition
For over 1,300 years, the Shikinen Sengu ritual has been held every 20 years at Ise Grand Shrine, one of Japan’s most sacred Shinto sites. This ceremony involves reconstructing the shrine using ancient craftsmanship and transferring the sacred object to the new structure. Deeply connected to the Imperial Family, it preserves Japan’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Our company proudly contributes to this project, supporting the continuation of traditional manufacturing techniques and passing down invaluable skills to future generations.
04. Giving Back to the Community
We open our factory to local residents and students, offering a closer look at traditional craftsmanship. By providing cutlery to schools, we ensure that children experience high-quality, locally made utensils, fostering an appreciation for local craftsmanship from an early age. Through these efforts, we strengthen community ties, preserve local industries, and instill a sense of pride in the region’s manufacturing heritage.
